About the team & purpose

You will work with our Finance team and be responsible to ensure our daily accounting is impeccable. You will be the guardian of bank reconciliations and a key support for the Finance team, ensuring monthly closings run like clockwork.

The Finance team is composed of Accountants, Financial Planning Analysts, Treasury experts, Payments and Fraud Specialists, and a skillful Accounts Payable crew. They manage the financial resources of the company in order to keep the company healthy and on track, and we keep a watchful eye on Stayforlong’s day-to-day business to sidestep risks and penalties, as well as keeping up with our main providers, investors, and any other relevant stakeholders. 

They are not only a bunch of number-freaks glued to their desks, by managing the financial resources of the company and identifying risks and potential opportunities analyzing in our BS and P&L we identify business trends and forecast accordingly. They work behind the scenes in order to proactively clear the path for the company's success. They interact with all the teams of the company embracing technology to improve scalability, leveraging financial insights and refining our cash model.

Job Responsibilities:

• Treasury Management: Keep bank accounts up to date and perform daily reconciliation of bank movements to ensure an accurate cash flow picture.

• Monthly Closing Support: Assist in the monthly P&L (Profit & Loss) and BS (Balance Sheet) closing processes.

• Transaction Recording: Ensure all business transactions are correctly recorded and assist the team with accounting entries for the monthly close.

• Billing & Provider Control: Manage invoicing, provider payment controlling, and reconciliation of accounts payable.

• Proactive Reporting & Improvement: Report any errors or discrepancies detected and identify ways to automate manual tasks to improve our software solutions (ERP, EPM).

Job Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience: While previous experience is valued, we prioritize your desire to learn the complete accounting cycle in a complex environment.

• Languages: Fluent level of English and Spanish, as we are an international team.

• Tech Skills: Proficiency in Excel—pivot tables and formulas should be your friends.

• Mindset: You don't just "input" data; you question the "why" behind the numbers to prevent errors.

• Soft Skills: High attention to detail , analytical capacity to meet strict deadlines , and a collaborative "hands-on" approach.
