You will join our Product and Development team—a forward-thinking group of engineers, designers, and data scientists devoted to crafting innovative solutions.
Job purpose:
Lead a software engineering team of 5, in delivering new iterations of our travel platform. You will manage the team leveraging technical prowess, coupled with customer insights, to create and maintain a user-friendly and technologically superior platform. Your collective aim is to evolve our product continually, ensuring it stands out in the competitive travel market.
Your Impact: 📈
-Drive & Delivery: Drive the delivery, manage the team, and participate in technical decisions (average of 80% management and 20% hands on), managing priorities with full ownership of results.
-Sustainable Execution: Be responsible for the sustainable delivery of your team through the planning and execution phases with a focus on reliable and maintainable software.
-Product and Business Partnership: Partner closely with your Product Management and Business stakeholders to drive roadmap creation and execution.
-People Leadership: Hire, empower, develop, and delegate to geographically distributed engineers with different skill sets from your own.
-Engineering Best Practices: Participate in technical design fostering software engineering best practices and adoption of AI as a development capability.
-Backlog Management: Manage your product's technical needs, working with engineers to identify engineering investments and prioritizing them in the backlog.

-AI tools: Claude Code, Google ADK, Gemini Pro
-Practices: Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, Code Reviews, Technical design using RFC proposals, agile methodologies (scrum)
Who You Are 👤
We value diverse technical backgrounds and a passion to resolve problems, manage risk, lead change, and facilitate collaborative decision-making.
-Experienced Coder: You have 5+ years of experience coding in one of the following languages: Go, PHP, JavaScript, C#, Java, and/or Python.
-Leadership Track Record: You have 2+ years of experience directly managing successful software engineering teams as an Engineering Manager.
-Technical Depth: You possess a software engineering background that enables you to drive technical decisions within the team and engage with engineers at all levels of seniority.
-Talent Developer: Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
-Results-oriented: Experience managing highly complex projects with cross-team dependencies.
-Great communicator: Able to communicate clearly and in an audience-oriented on both technical and non-technical subjects, with developers, product partners, and other business stakeholders.
